Global Running Day

WHAT IS GLOBAL RUNNING DAY: Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages people of all ages and abilities to get moving. This day plays an important role, reminding us of the positives that running can offer to our physical and mental health and the power of unification. Let's run together on Global Running Day to celebrate our love of running and take strides toward healthier and more active lives.

CELEBRATE GLOBAL RUNNING DAY WITH SARATOGA STRYDERS: Walk, Jog, Run. Earn one raffle ticket for each lap completed in one hour. Pizza, beverage, and 3 extra raffle tickets for all pre-registrants. Chance to win running shoes, gift cards, and more! 

Location: This event will be taking place on the trails at Pitney Meadows Community Farm. Pre-race gathering, finish, and day of race registration will take place in the in the field next to the trail entrance. Restrooms are located in the Pitney Meadows Community Farm Building (across the dirt road from trails alongside parking).

iRun Local Special Raffle:  Visit iRun Local May 26 -June 4 and request raffle ticket for drawing of special Swag Bag during the Global Running Day Raffle (must be present to win)

Giveaway: Each registered participant will receive a commemorative magnet celebrating our 2024 Global Running Day Event and the Saratoga Stryders' 40th Anniversary!

Prizes (provided by iRun LOCAL, 425 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY and Saratoga Stryders):  Post-race door raffles drawings open to all runners and volunteers. Must be present to win.

• Stop in iRun Local May 26 -June 4 for special Swag Bag Raffle Ticket
• Wednesday, June 5th - Online registration closes at 5:00pm.
• Wednesday, June 5th - Race Day!
  • 5:00 pm - 5:50 pm - Checking and last-minute registration at the Pitney Meadows Community Farm, in the field by trails, limited to 100 entries, 3 extra raffle tickets for all pre-registrants.
  • 5:50 pm - Global Running Day Group Picture
  • 6:00 pm - Global Running Day Raffle Runs Starts
  • 6:45 pm - Global Running Day Raffle Run last time to start loop
  • 6:45 pm - Food and Drinks Available
  • 7:00 pm - Global Running Day Raffle Runs End.
  • 7:15 pm - Raffle Drawing begins outside near the finish area, must be present to win
  • 8:00 pm - Global Running Day celebration concludes

Net proceeds will be used to support the programs and activities of the Saratoga Stryders, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
